After the AC adapter is connected, turn on the power switch on the side of the printer. The POWER lamp on the control
panel lights up.

(1) Hold the release lever between your thumb and other fingers.
Note 1:
When manipulating the top cover, note that the cover seems to lock in position before it is open completely.
Make sure that the cover is open completely as shown in the picture below.
Note 2:
If the top cover is not open completely, it may close by itself.
Note 3:
Do not touch the thermal head. Otherwise it may be damaged by static electricity.

(2) Adjust the separator to the width of the roll paper.

At the time of shipment from the factory, the separator is set at a position appropriate for a paper width
of 58 or 80mm.
