ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
HANGING FROM A STAND
1. Remove quilted hammock (A) from packaging and
unroll and untangle any ropes wound around the
wooden spreader bar (D). Attach one hanging chain (B)
to a hanging hook on the hammock stand (not included).
Hanging hooks should come included with any
hammock stand and should be fitted to each of the
stand's arm poles. Repeat this step for the opposite side
of the hammock and stand using the same number of
chain links as before. Adjust hammock height by
changing the number of chain links.
HANGING FROM A TREE
OR OTHER APPROPRIATE WOOD SURFACE
2. Choose two wooden surfaces at least 6 inches (15
centimeters) in diameter - sturdy trees, posts sunk into
the ground or to wall studs on a porch, for instance -
from which to hang the hammock. The hanging space
should be 18 - 24 inches greater than the hammock's
total length, measured from O-ring to O-ring. The closer
the anchor points, the greater the curve of the hammock
once hung.
NOTE: Soft-wood types such as willow, palm and beech
may not support this hammock when in use; hardwoods
such as oak, hickory, etc., work much better. To install
this hammock into any surface other than wood, consult
a building professional for the proper method and for
any additional supplies required for safe installation.
