The answering machine is switched on; the answering mode is
set to "Answer".
rA (flashes) Answering machine is being used by a handset or an external
telephone.
E (flashes)
General error messages.
F (flashes)
The memory is full.

Playing back messages

The answering machine differentiates between already played back ("old")
messages and messages that have not been played back yet ("new
messages").
If new messages have been recorded on the answering machine, "New
message" will appear on the handset display. The number of recorded
messages will flash on the base station display.
When you play back your messages, new messages will always be played
back first.
