CLEANING AND DISINFECTING PROCEDURES
The nebulizer and mouthpiece should be thoroughly cleaned after each use unless a different
cleaning regimen is specified by your healthcare professional; additional hygienic precautions
may be required for use with high-risk patients. Never attempt a subsequent medication
treatment without first cleaning your unit and mouthpiece.
Cleaning Procedures:
1. Ensure that the power cord is disconnected from the power
outlet and that the battery pack is disconnected from the
nebulizer housing body.
2. Remove the clear lid from the nebulizer body, Fig 1.
3. Wash the mouthpiece, fan, medicine cup and air filter cover
in warm water with mild detergent. Rinse throughly, Fig 2.
4. Allow all pieces to air dry before use or storage. Do not
store any parts wet as remaining moisture creates a risk of
bacterial growth.
5. Rinse the water reservoir with warm water, do not use
detergent. As needed, wipe out the reservoir with a
damp cloth. Do not replace the lid or medication cup
until the unit is completely dry.
6. The body of the unit and the outside of the battery
pack can be wiped down with a soft cloth; if necessary,
use a damp soft cloth with a non-abrasive cleaner.
Never immerse the nebulizer body or battery in liquid.
