CONTROL PANEL INSTALLATION AND STARTING
4.1
Firmly secure the electric board.
4.2
Drill a hole on the underside of the electric cabinet for cable routing. If cables are accessible, secure by means of appropri-
ate cable fittings (not provided).
4.3
Keep power leads at least 8 mm from control and motor leads at terminal strip connections (eventually using clamps). Warn-
ing: to ensure proper operation of the unit and adequate resistance to disturbances, place the motor cable and the encoder
cable in separate raceways. Furthermore, the distance from the electric board to the geared motor must not be more than
5 m. Should this distance be greater owing to special installation requirements, install the geared motor and the electric
board on the same side inverting the switch-on sequence of the carriages and the transmission. In this case the operation
of the DIP2 changes (OFF = opening to the left - ON = opening to the right). If it is not possible to install the geared motor
and the electric board on the same side, connect some external buttons (not supplied by us) in the appropriate position.
Warning: the operations regarding point 4.5 are without safety devices. The trimmer can only be adjusted with door not mov-
ing.
4.4
Set the S1-S2-S3 selections according to the chosen application. Set TC and RF to maximum and VM to minimum. Make
a jumper between safety devices (1-6, 1-7, 1-8 and 1-42) and stop (1-9). Select desired direction of movement.
4.5
Power (from batteries and mains) and check that door operates properly by sending several open, close and step-by-step
commands. Set VM and check opening and closing speed. Attention: Upon each turning on the electric board automatically
resets so as to permit the first opening and closing to be made at low speed in order to learn the end-of-travel positions
(acquisition phase).
4.6
Adjust with RF the motor force and the obstacle detection.
4.7
Remove jumpers, connect safety devices (1-6, 1-7, 1-8 and 1-42) and stop (1-9), and check for proper operation.
4.8
If desired, adjust automatic closing by means of TC (enabled by 1-2).
4.9
Connect any accessories and check their function.
