• Check the owner's manual of your vehicle and
local city/state ordinances and traffic regulations
regarding the use of auxiliary lighting
• Study the wiring diagram (Figure A) first. If you
cannot understand it, do not attempt the install
yourself. Have someone qualified do the
installation for you
• Do not install lights on the front bumper of the
vehicle with air bags if the owner's manual
indicates that it is forbidden. You may damage the
sensors and deploy air bags causing bodily injury
• The lamps become extremely hot while in
operation; Do not touch or wash the lights
for at least ten minutes after use
• Hopkins Manufacturing Corporation assumes no
liability for any damage caused by improper use
and/or installation of its products

Bolt Mount On Installation
NOTE: Once you have chosen the proper mounting
position mark the correct bolt location with a
center punch
1. Select a mounting location that will not obstruct
headlamps or turn signals
2. With the bracket attached to the light, mark the
mounting position of the lamp onto the mounting
surface. You may either mount bracket on the
bottom or pendant mount (bracket on top) the
lamps but always keep the lamp in its upright
position (Figure A1)

Installing The Wiring And Switch
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery
2. Use an existing opening or drill a small hole (
bigger) to route the wires through the fire wall.
3. Find a convenient location near the bottom of the
dashboard to mount the switch. Bolt the mounting
brace onto the surface of the dashboard. Then,
squeeze the switch into the slot of the brace. (Use
the vehicle's OE installation pad if available – a
1 ¼˝ x ½˝ hole is needed)
4. Connect all components with the supplied harness.
See Figure A
5. Reconnect vehicle battery
Aiming Instructions
NOTE: Lamps must be mounted between 12˝-30˝ from
the road
Lamps shall be aimed with the center of the high
intensity zone on a vertical line straight ahead of
the lamp center, and with the top edge of the beam
4˝ (102mm) below the level of the lamp center at a
distance of 25´ (7.6m) from the lens as show in Figure B
