Installation instructions
1. Remove the sterndrive from the transom shield. See the Workshop Manual for the respective drive model.
2. Remove all hydraulic hoses and pipes from the transom shield. Make sure to save the nuts and washers
(A) for the hose lead-throughs. Remove the hydraulic cylinders from the transom shield and save the locking
screws (B) and the pivots. See picture 1.
NOTE! Watch out for oil spillage!
3. Install the O-rings (8) on the pivots (7) and grease the pivots with water resistant grease. See picture 2.
4. Install the pipes (2) and (3) and the hoses (4) and (5) on the hydraulic cylinders, prior to installing the
cylinders in the transom shield. See picture 2. Do not tighten the connections. Install the plugs in the port
cylinder. Tighten the plugs.
5. Install the hydraulic cylinders (1) in the transom shield using the pivots (7). Make sure not to damage the
O-rings! Lock the pivots with the flange screws (B).
6. Install the hoses on the transom shield using the washers and nuts (A), see picture 2.
IMPORTANT! Make sure to install the high pressure hose (4) and the low pressure hose (5) correctly
in the transom shield.
7. Attach the hoses from the hydraulic pump to the lead-throughs on the transom shield.
