Operation
1 Press the green select button repeatedly until the LED display shows the desired
aquarium temperature. The display will increase by 0.5 °C each time. When 35 ° C is
reached, the display starts again at 20 ° C and so on.
2 After releasing the select button, the actual temperature of the running water is
displayed. The control LED lights up green when heating is in progress. If the water
temperature is above the set temperature, E-1 appears in the display. This display
disappears when the temperature has been reached.
Maintenance
1 Regularly clean the inside of the heater of impurities (we recommend monthly) using
the enclosed hose brush. Then rinse with a jet of water from the pipe (Fig. C). Make
sure that no water gets into the heater housing or onto the mains cable.
If the inside cleaning is neglected over a longer period, deposits can lead to malfunc-
tion due to incorrectly recorded temperatures.
2 If necessary, remove dust and other deposits on the outside of the heater with a lint-
free dry cloth.

Fault warning
E - 1
E-1: Water temperature is at least 1 °C above the set temperature.
Action: Regulates itself when water temperature drops.
E - 2
E-2: No water or air bubbles in the heater.
Action: Ensure that the heater is as vertical as possible and that the water flow is suf-
ficient.
E - 3
E-3: Electronic fault.
Action: Only possible by a specialist.
E - 8
E-8: Temperature above 93°C. No water flow or inside too dirty.
Action: Clean the inside of the heater with a hose brush (see chapter 8 Maintenance)
and ensure a sufficient water flow.
