SWITCH TO AP MODE
move the mode switch on the dIR-604 to the ap position. In this
mode, the dIR-604 will function as an access point.
CONNECT TO A ROUTER
use the included ethernet cable to connect the dIR-604 to an
available lan port on your router. make sure that dHcp is enabled
on your router. connect the power adapter to the dIR-604 and wait
until the Wireless led changes to blue.
CONNECT TO THE DIR-604
use a pc with an enabled wireless adapter to open a web
browser and scan for available wireless networks. connect to
the network with dlink as the ssId. the wireless key is located
on the bottom of the dIR-604.
CONFIGURE THE DIR-604
set the pc's Ip as 192.168.0.51 and the subnet mask
as 255.255.255.0.open a web browser and go to
http://192.168.0.1. enter admin as the user name and leave
the password blank. now you can use the setup Wizard to
configure your dIR-604. after configuring the dIR-604, set the
pc's Ip to "obtain an Ip address automatically" or your previous
Ip settings to access your wireless network.
