Using the Ratchet Straps

Once you have the ratchet strap in place, follow the instructions below.
1. With the ratchet closed, thread end of the strap through slot in center rotating spool. (Fig 1)
2. Pull strap through, leaving only a small amount of slack.
3. Open the ratchet. (Fig 2)
4. Start ratcheting (lowering and raising), this will wind the strap and lock it in place. (Fig 3)
5. As you continue ratcheting, the strap will slowly increase tension.

To Release Ratchet Strap

1. Pull and hold release tab on ratchet. This will override ratchet function. (Fig 4)
2. Open the ratchet as far as possible, grab the strap from the non-fixed side and pull to release.
3. Pull and hold release tab again to close ratchet.
· DO NOT over tighten the ratchet straps.
· DO NOT use this dolly in any way for which it was not intended.
· MAKE SURE the metal ratchet is not rubbing against any part of the truss.
Pinch Point! Keep hands and fingers clear of the ratchet gear while tightening the strap.
· NOTE: You will need both dollies and both ratchet straps to transport truss pieces safely.
· CT290-DOLLYKIT is designed to accommodate standard square truss (such as
CT-290 square truss by TRUSST®) and other 290 mm truss sections.
