2 SAFETY

Spectrophotometer VR-1100 is an electrical test instrument widely used in laboratories.
This equipment has been designed to be used mainly in laboratories.
It is important that the laboratory staff know the safety general procedures, together
with the safety precautions explained in this manual.
Some of the chemical products used in this spectrophotometer are corrosive and/
or inflammable and the samples can be radioactive, toxic or potentially infectious.
Be careful to follow the safety standardized procedures in laboratories for samples
and chemical products manipulation.
Electrical connection:
Power requirements of V-1100 are from 85V to 265VAC. Make sure that the local
power supply is within this range.
The power cord shall be inserted in a socket provided with a protective earth contact.
Warning:
Any interruption of the protective conductor inside or outside the equipment is likely
to make it dangerous.
NEVER touch or handle the power supply on V-1100 due to the high voltage in the
inside, even when it is disconnected from the mains.
