Installation Steps - Tailgate
For JK Wrangler, start at Steps 1. Steps 1 - 2 are optional for aesthetic reasons. Skip to Step 3 if you are not reus-
ing the shrouds.
For JL Wrangler, skip to Step 3. Installation is the same both with and without the Mopar Reinforcement Kit.
For Rampage Swing Away Bumper Accessory Panel Installation skip to Step 8.
Universal mounting to a suitable flat surface is custom and not explained in this Instruction Manual

JK Wranglers Only
Remove the factory hinge shrouds from the
tailgate hinges.
Grip top and bottom of hinge shroud at location
of arrow, and pull in the same direction.
Repeat same actions to remove second shroud.

JK Wranglers Only
Using the templates provided on Page 6, locate
and mark necessary drill points.
Drill pilot holes with 1/8" drill bit. Then use 1-1/8"
Hole Saw to carefully cut holes.
Reinstall shrouds on hinges.

All Tailgate Installations use the same procedures from Step 3 forward.
Remove bottom left tailgate hinge bolt.
Using provided hardware and flat washer (8mm on JK and 10mm on JL), insert bolt through Support
Bracket, through Tailgate Stanchion and into the tailgate.
Snug bolt but do not tighten fully.
