MOUNTING
1. Choose proper location. This fixture must be mounted:
A: Secure structurally sound surface.
B: Area where dusk-to-dawn photocell will operate correctly. Photocell in very Top of
fixture. Light sources from above, reflective or white surfaces from top may cause fixture to operate
incorrectly. Choose location free of reflective surfaces or interfering light source.
2. Using the mounting arm as a guide mark three mounting holes. We suggest drilling 3/16" (4.8
mm) pilot holes for the lag screws.
3. Mount the arm using three lag screws provided.
4. Thread your outdoor cable or flexible conduit through the mounting arm.
WIRING
Now that you have surface prepared, you are ready to wire up fixture.
WIRE ONLY ON 120V 60Hz POWER SUPPLY.
1. With power off and breaker switched off at break panel
2. Insert black and white power supply wires through knockout holes. Using UL approved wire con-
nectors connect black supply wire to black fixture wire. Connect white power supply wire to white
fixture wire.
3. Power supply green ground or bare ground wire must be secured to GREEN GROUND SCREW on
underside of mounting arm.
FAILURE TO CONNECT GROUND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS SHOCK RESULTING IN INJURY OR DEATH!
4. Make sure all connections are secure, no loose wire strands are protruding from wire connections.
5. Secure wiring compartment cover with screws provided.
TESTING/OPERATION
This fixture utilized electronic dusk-to-dawn photocell. Fixture will only light when photocell switch
detects the absence of light.
NOTE: fixture will flash on for brief second when power is applied to circuit. This is normal.
1. Return power to fixture by switching power on at break panel. To test fixture during daylight
hours, cover with piece of electrical tape.
2. With photocell covered the light will come on. Note that it will take several minutes for fluores-
cent bulb to reach full brightness.

A: screwed in all the way
B: inspect bulb for visual breaks, damage
C: replace bulb

RETURN FIXTURE TO THE DESIGNERS EDGE FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
5. Remove tape for proper night time operation.
