Staying in touch with your family and friends is convenient and easy when using
your microTALK
radio. Some of the many uses you will discover include:

Communicating with others while hiking, biking, and working; keeping track of family and friends at a
crowded public event; checking with travel companions in another car; talking with neighbors;
arranging meeting spots with others while shopping at the mall.
Talk Button
Press and hold the Talk button to
communicate with others. The microphone
should be about 2 inches from your mouth.
When talking, speak in normal voice.
Release the Talk button when you are
nished talking and listen for a response
from the other person. You cannot receive
at the same time while pressing the Talk
button.
NOTE: Both radios must be on the
same channel to communicate.

Press the Channel button to toggle
channel 1 & channel 2.

NOTE: Both radios must be on the

Battery Warning (For Radio, Flashlight)
• Do not attempt to charge alkaline batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.
WARNING: Exposure to high volume sound levels may cause temporary or permanent
damage to your hearing. Although there is no single volume setting that is appropriate for
everyone, you should always use your radio with the volume set at low level and avoid
prolonged exposure to high volume sound levels.

Press the Power On/Off button to turn on/off the ashlight.
Battery Installation (Flashlight)
Unscrew the front cap by turning counterclockwise. Insert 3 x AAA alkaline
batteries into battery holder and position batteries according to polarity markings.
The "
" arrow on battery holder should face the ashlight head.

Power On/Off / Volume Knob
Turn
clockwise to turn the radio on and
counterclockwise to turn the radio off.
Rotate
clockwise to increase the
volume.
Rotate
counterclockwise to decrease
the volume.
Do not hold the radio close to your ear.
If the volume is set to an uncomfortable
level, it could hurt your ear.

Battery Installation (Radio)
To Install or Replace Batteries:
Remove Belt Clip
1. Remove belt clip by releasing belt clip
latch and sliding clip up.
2. Pull up on the battery door latch to
remove the battery compartment cover.
Pull Latch Up
3. Insert 3 x AAA alkaline batteries per radio
and position batteries according to
polarity markings.
Range: Up to 16 miles. Maximum range may vary and is based on unobstructed
line-of-sight communication under ideal conditions.

battery alert tone will be heard
