Adjusting the Seat
To adjust the position of the seat, lift the seat adjustment lever
up. Slide the seat forward or rearward to the desired position;
then release the adjustment lever. Make sure seat is locked into
position before operating the tractor. See Fig. 3-6.

46" & 50" Decks
Check the mower deck for a shipping brace (with tag) that may
be holding the chute deflector upward for shipment. If a brace
is present, it must be removed before operating the tractor.
Holding the chute deflector fully upward, remove the shipping
brace by grasping it and rotating it clockwise. Lower the chute
deflector. See Fig. 3-7.

Remove the keys that are attached with a zip tie to the
chute bracket.
Remove the flange lock nuts from the deck. Do not remove
the push nuts or carriage bolts, leaving them in place will
aid in installing the chute. See Fig. 3-8.

Install the discharge chute deflector using the carriage
bolts, push nuts and flange lock nuts as shown in Fig. 3-9
and securely tighten the hardware.
