LGB DC locomotive controllers (DC, 0 - 24 volts).
• Use a locomotive controller with more than 1 amp of operating current for this
model.
• The 65006 diesel locomotive sound kit can be added to this locomotive. Complete

Mode of Operation Switch
This locomotive has a 4-position mode of operation switch (Figure 1).

General-Purpose Socket
This model has a general-purpose socket for flat plugs on the rear of the locomotive
(Figure 2). LGB cars with lighting or sound effects circuits can be connected to the
track voltage by means of this socket.
Multi-Train System
This model comes from the factory with a decoder installed for the LGB multi-train
system. It can be used without changes on conventional analog layouts or with the
digital multi-train system. The model is programmed for locomotive address 03 for use
with the LGB multi-train system.
Information about programming the locomotive address can be found in the instruc-
tions for the different MTS controllers.
Locomotive functions can be controlled remotely when operating with the multi-train
system. The locomotive's lighting is turned on and off by means of the lighting button
(„9" on the hand controllers).
The locomotive has a load compensation feature when it is operated with the multi-
train system: The motor rpm (and thereby the speed under normal conditions) is held
constant, even when the locomotive's load changes, such as on curves or grades.
