Installation of soapstone stove Morsø 8150
Soapstone is a soft natural material that must be treated with
care when installing the stove. We recommend that two people
undertake the installation to prevent accidental scratches and
damage to the stove.
The floor on which the stove is assembled must be level to
ensure that the assembly of the stove and the loose soapstone
sides can be carried out properly.
Step 1: Place the stove in position on the floor. Please ensure
that the stove is true to spirit level prior to continuing the
installation.
Step 2: Dismount the smoke baffles and side brick panels; for
further details, please refer to the description in the
installation and user guide.
Step 3: The soapstone side is mounted at the top with one
screw and the large washer from the inside of the stove
through the cast iron sidewall and into the soapstone
side, which has a threaded bushing to receive the
screw. Attach the screw to the soapstone side and
tighten it carefully to avoid forcing the bushing loose.
Step 4: For mounting the bottom screws into the soapstone
side, pull out the drawer or, if preferred, dismantle the
drawer completely.
Step 5: From within the drawer aperture, the soapstone side is
mounted with two screws and washers through the
bases and into the soapstone side, which has a threaded
bushing to receive the screw. Attach the screw to the
soapstone side and tighten it carefully to avoid forcing
the bushing loose.
Step 6: Repeat steps 3 and 5 for the other side.
Step 7: Place the 4 small dowels for the soapstone top plate at
the top of the soapstone sides. Then position the
top plate carefully on the dowels so it will rest on the
soapstone sides.
Step 8: Re-mount the smoke baffles and side brick panels on
the stove in the opposite order. Check that the smoke
baffles and side brick panels are mounted correctly
before lighting your stove.

light your new stove.
