Connection of the fixture to 12V
Follow the steps below to install the fitting correctly:
Step 1
Using a soft cloth place the lamp in the fitting of the fixture. Avoid direct
contact with the lamp; grease and salts from the skin can considerably
shorten the service life. Then attach the top of the fixture using the
Allen bolts
Step 2
Before attaching the fixture make a hole through the wall.
Step 3
Feed the cable from the fitting through the hole (Fig. 1) and use the
screws supplied to attach the fixture.
Step 4
Join the connector to the main cable. Ensure that the cable lies
straight in the cable channel so that each part of the cable runs
precisely over one of the contacts. Use the insert to help you do this.
First, place this in the connector under the cable. Now turn the threaded
cap onto the connector. This will cause the contacts to be pressed
through the insulation of the cable. (Fig. 2)
Step 5
Connect the power cable to the fixture by connecting the mini-
connector. (Fig. 3)
Replacing the lamp
Caution! Before replacing the lamp it should have been switched off
for a minimum of 10 minutes to allow it to cool. Then use a soft cloth to
replace the lamp. Avoid direct contact with the lamp; grease and salts
from the skin can considerably shorten the service life. To replace the
lamp see step 1.
If the lamp does not work correctly, check that the connector is properly
connected to the main cable. Do the same for the mini-connector.
Repeat steps 4 and 5. When the fitting is connected to the main cable,
also check that the contacts are not bent. If you have any problems,
contact your dealer.
General maintenance advice
We advise wiping the fixture down at least once a year using a clean
cloth and warm water.
