Mount the Guard
WARNING
being injured by the blade.
1. Remove the battery pack from the trimmer.
2. Lay the trimmer on the ground or the floor with the trimmer head facing upward.
3. Insert the guard into the groove of the trimmer head.
4. Align the two bolts (supplied) with the two screw holes in the guard (Fig. 4), and then
tighten them with a phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) (Fig. 5).

Front-Assist Handle
1. Remove the battery pack from the trimmer.
2. Loosen the wing nut and remove it along
with the hex bolt from the front-assist
handle (Fig. 6).

Always wear gloves when mounting or replacing the guard . Be careful
of the blade on the guard and wear gloves to protect your hands from
