To Attach/Detach Battery Pack
WARNING
when the tool is not in use, or when carrying it at your side . Removing the battery pack
will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury.
To Attach the Battery Pack (Fig . 9):
Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the grooves on the tool, and then slide the battery
pack onto the tool.
NOTICE: Make sure that the latch on the battery pack snaps into place and that the battery
pack is secured to the tool before beginning operation.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack onto the tool, be sure that the raised rib on the
battery pack aligns with the groove inside the tool and that the latches snap into place
properly. Improper attachment of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
To Detach the Battery Pack (Fig . 10):
Depress the battery-release button, located on the front of the battery pack, to release the
battery pack. Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.

boots and gloves . Do not wear short pants or
sandals or go barefoot.
Before operating the unit, stand in the
operating position and check that:
1. The operator is wearing eye protection and
proper clothing.
2. One arm that is holding the rear handle is
slightly bent.
3. The other arm, that is holding the front-
assist handle, is straight.
4. The trimmer head is parallel to the ground and easily contacts the material to be cut
without the operator having to bend over (Fig. 11).
Battery tools are always in operating condition . Therefore, remove
the battery when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning,
