1. In the Omnion software, go to Configuration>Autosamplers.
2. Push the PRIME DILUTOR button.
3. If the dilutor leaks from the connectors, replace the Teflon tubing. If the barrel leaks, contact
technical support for assistance.
Note: Always degas the diluent with helium.
4. Keep all surfaces clean. Clean the exterior of the modules with water and a paper towel. Dry all
surfaces thoroughly. If an acid spill occurs, neutralize the acid with baking soda and then clean all
the surfaces.

Sampler maintenance

Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal protective
equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
Never lubricate the leads screws. The lead screw nuts are compounded with a dry film lubricant. If oil is used on
the lead screws, it will cause gumming, galling and binding of the sample probe assembly.

Clean and examine the pump

The pump is susceptible to acid damage. The cartridges and cartridge holders can be damaged due
to acid. Do the steps that follow to clean the pump.
1. After daily use, rinse the cartridges in deionized water to wash off spills that come in contact with
them.
2. Clean the pump surfaces, except the rollers, with a wet cloth. Dry all surfaces well.
3. Remove rust from the rollers and clean with steel wool. Apply a very light coat of silicone spray to
a lint-free cloth and hold it on the moving rollers. The silicone will act as a rust inhibitor.
4. Look for wear, cracks or acid damage on the cartridges and holders. Replace as necessary.
Make sure that the flow is correct at the time of analysis.
5. Replace pump tubing as soon as it starts to show signs of wear, such as sections that are pushed
flat (approximately once per month). If the usage is high, then replace the pump more often.
6. If a pump tube bursts, immediately clean all cartridges, holders and the pump. If a spill is not
cleaned immediately, it can cause damage to the pump and/or parts.
7. If the pump speed looks too fast or too slow when the speed is set at 35, do the pump test to
make sure that the pump operates correctly. Refer to the expanded user manual available on the
manufacturer's website.
8. Keep all surfaces clean. Use a damp cloth to clean the module surfaces. Dry all surfaces
thoroughly. If an acid spill occurs, use baking soda to make the acid neutral and then continue to
clean all the surfaces.

Clean and examine the valve module

Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal protective
equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
Make sure not to over-tighten the valve fittings or let liquid spills occur. To prevent valve damage:
