3. General Guidelines
• This device is a lighting effect for professional use on stage, in discos, theatres, etc. The
VDP150MH6 should only be used indoors with an alternating current of max. 230Vac/50Hz.
• Lighting effects are not designed for permanent operation. Operation breaks at regular
intervals will protect the device against malfunction.
• Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.
• Select a location where the device will be protected against extreme heat, moisture and dust.
Respect a minimum distance of 0.5m between the projector's light output and the target
surface.
• Use an appropriate safety cable to fix the device (e.g. VDLSC7 or VDLSC8). When fixing the
device on a raised-from-the-ground supprt, be sure to use no less than screws and nuts of
M10 x 25mm and insert them in the prearranged screw holes in the base of the ficture.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not permit
operation by unqualified people. Any damage that may occur will probably be due to
unprofessional use of the device.
• Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
• Note that all modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short-circuits, burns,
electroshocks, lamp explosion, crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void
the warranty.
4. Installation
a) Lamp
• Only fit or replace the lamp when the device is unplugged from the mains. Replace any
deformed or damaged lamp.
• Let the lamp cool before replacing it as its temperature can reach 700° C during operation.
• Do not touch the lamp with your bare hands when you're installing a halogen lamp. Use a
cloth to insert or remove a halogen lamp.
• Do not install lamps with a higher wattage. The temperatures they generate are too hot for
this device.
