Recommendations
on the power tool operation
Sanding belt selection
Use appropriate sanding belt for different materials or
coating being processed The designation of the sand-
ing belt is specified on the packing. Relevant instruc-
tions may be provided by the seller
Use sanding belts of different grain sizes depending
on works performed to guarantee best quality of pro-
cessing:
• use sanding belt with 40-60 grain size to process
wood or rough lumber, and to remove paint or rust
from surfaces;
• use sanding belt with 80-120 grain size to smooth
insignificant unevenness on wooden surfaces, to
sanding mastic, etc;
• use sanding belt with 180-320 grain size to finish
wooden surfaces and to sanding hard wood
The data above are a recommendation only, the best
method to select the grain size for the treated material
is practical testing
Sanding
Make a test sanding using a spare piece of the
blank part (made of the same material as the mate-
rial of the blank part) in order to make sure that the
sanding belt, grain size and the sanding belt speed
have been selected appropriately.
• Work using the least possible sanding pressure; the
power tool own weight is sufficient for a good sanding
performance This gives longer life to the sanding belt,
makes the workpiece surface smoother
• Start sanding after turning the power tool on Stead-
ily move the power tool forward in overlapping, parallel
strokes along the fibres. Transversal sanding affects
the quality of processing
• Particularly when sanding coats of varnish, it is
possible that these melt and smear the surface of the
workpiece and the sanding belt Therefore sanding
dust must be extracted
• Worn or torn sanding belt may damage the surface
of the workpiece, therefore replace sanding belt when
required
The manufacturer reserves the possibility to introduce changes.
• Do not reuse sanding belt that were previously used
for sanding metal for any other materials
Power tool maintenance /
preventive measures
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Cleaning of the power tool
An indispensable condition for a safe long-term exploi-
tation of the power tool is to keep it clean Regularly
flush the power tool with compressed air thought the
ventilation slots 5
