1.
Release the Rear Tail gate to expose the Tail Light and inside lip of the Rear Bumper. Remove (2) Set Screws directly under the tail light mounting section. Remove (2) Set Screws
directly above the mud flaps and on the inside of the mud flap. Remove (1) Trim Clip on the underside of the Bumper. Repeat for Passenger and Driver side.
2.
On the underside of the Bumper remove (6) Trim clips. Now carefully remove the Bumper disconnecting any plugs for reverse parking sensors. Disconnect the (3) Bumper Tabs from
vehicle and discard. Lower the tire, if access to center Bumper tab is obstructed by Spare tire. Remove (2) Set Screws to remove the factory two Hook and discard.
3.
Tape (4) spacers to hitch bracket on both sides to ease installation. Raise hitch into position, use horizontal bolts first to help support the hitch, then Hand tight vertical fasteners.
4.
Tighten all M10 fasteners to 42 lb-ft, all M12 fasteners to 76 lb-ft.
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
5.
From the center of the fascia, use appropriate tools to create a Bumper Cut. Make a cut approximately 180mm wide, and a length of 100mm following the surface, starting from the
bottom of the fascia.
6.
Reattach fascia using steps in reverse. Use supplied cable ties to fix the fascia to hitch cross tube.
Note: Check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch
or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
