BEFORE USING THE MULTIMETER

Make a visual inspection
• Make a visual inspection before start any diagnostic behaviour. You can find many
problems causes simply looking, then you are saving time.
• The vehicle went through maintenance recently? Some times have a bad connection.
• Don't use shortcuts. The electric connections may be hard to see due to location.
• Inspect the ignition wires.
• Damaged terminals.
• Broken spark plugs.
Inspect the electric system:
• Contact with sharpened edges.
• Contact with hot surface, as exhaust pipes.
• Twisted isolation, burned or damaged.
• Route and connections.
Check the electric connectors:
• Corrosion in pins.
• Folded or damaged pins.
• Unadjusted contacts.
• Terminals with folded wires.
