General information for the installer

Transport and storage

HPAC should be transported and stored horizontal
and dry.
Installation
HPAC is installed suspended on the wall. Avoid install-
ing it in or adjacent to a sound-sensitive room. Wher-
ever the unit is located, any wall that backs on to a
bedroom should be fitted with sound insulation.

Inspection of the installation

In accordance with current norms, the heating/cooling
installation must undergo an installation check before
being used. The inspection must be carried out by a
suitably qualified person and should be documented.
The above applies to closed heating/cooling instal-
lations. If the heat pump or the cooling module are
replaced the installation must be inspected again.

Passive cooling

Using the circulation pumps in the heat pump, fluid
from the ground/rock collector circulates through the
building's distribution system and cools the building.
Cooling comes from the ground/rock collector.

Active cooling

With active cooling the compressor/compressors start
and the produced cooling circulates to the building's
distribution system and the heat circulates out to the
ground/rock collector.
The cooling supply to the building is controlled by the
settings in the heat pump's control system (curve gra-
dient and offset). After adjustment the correct amount
of cooling for the current outdoor temperature is
supplied. The flow temperature from HPAC will vary
around the theoretical required value (value in brack-
ets on the heat pump's display). In the event of excess
temperature, the control system calculates a surplus
in the form of degrees-minutes, which means that the
connection of cooling production is accelerated the
greater the excess temperature that temporarily pre-
vails.
When the cooling requirement is large and passive
cooling is not sufficient active cooling is engaged at
the set limit value.
This system solution means that the
heat transfer fluid will also circulate
through the heating system. Check
that all component parts are designed
for the heat transfer fluid in question.
