Ballast Assembly Replacement Instructions
Ballast assembly can be replaced without the cutting
of any wires. Use of a qualified electrician is recom-
mended.
WARNING: Turn power off at the circuit breaker
or fuse.
1. Remove bulb. ATTENTION: When removing, grasp bulb by
the base. Do not grasp glass bulb to remove.
2. Remove diffuser locking screw and diffuser (see Figure 1).
3. Remove three screws holding plastic cover and remove cover.
4. Remove two screws connecting lamp socket to aluminum hous-
ing.
5. Remove two screws connecting ballast to aluminum housing.
6. Using a flat-head screwdriver, gently pry the photocell assembly
loose from the aluminum housing. Note: The photocell lens and
the rubber grommet will stay attached to the aluminum housing.
7. Dispose of used ballast assembly (includes ballast, lamp socket,
and photocell).
8. Apply high-temp adhesive to the replacement photocell brackets.
Insert the photocell into the photocell lens and press the brackets
against the aluminum housing until the adhesive hardens.
9. Connect the replacement ballast and lamp socket following steps
4 and 5 in reverse order.
10. Attach plastic cover and diffuser following steps 2 and 3 in reverse
order.
11. Install bulb.
