9.3 Preparing the unit for shipping or storing
Once the unit has been used with NaOH, proper actions should be taken for its
transportation or storing.
Initially clean the unit according to chapter 9.1
9.3.1 Remove completely the NaOH from the unit
• Clean the NaOH tank:
Remove the NaOH 2 litres tank from the unit.
Clean it with abundant water for some minutes.
• Cleaning the NaOH dosing circuit:
Fill the NaOH 2 litres tank with water.
Connect to NaOH circuit.
Insert a MACRO tube on the unit. Press «NaOH» several times. Remove the
MACRO tube when filled. Insert an empty one, up the 2 litres of water has circu-
lated across the NaOH dosing circuit.
Repeat the operation with the Fixative solution tank (on the menu press «H3BO3»).
9.3.2 Remove completely the water from the unit

• Emptying the water reservoir and the steam generator:
1. Open the tap "Steam generator empty valve".
2. Start the unit, and wait that the pump empties all the water from the water
reservoir. Alarm «STEAM» will be activated. Stop the unit by main switch, Wait 4s
and restart.
• Emptying the water from the cooling circuit.
1. Open the "Coolant glassware valve" See picture.
2. Blow for the end of the output coolant water. The water will come out from
the valve.
