NOTE: Bumper must be supported before proceding with hitch installation. Bumper attachment bolts will be removed to install hitch
1. Locate and remove three nuts from bumper bracket to frame attachment bolts at the rear of each vehicle side frame. Remove the
two rear bolts that are located one above the other. They will be replaced with longer bolts supplied with this kit. Save all the
existing nuts for later re-use.
2. Pull the third, forward bolt out ot the frame so that the threads are not visible on the outer surface of the frame. This will give room
for hitch to be positioned in correct location.
3. Position the hitch assembly up around tailpipe so that the frame brackets rest against the outer surface of the bumper brackets in
line with the originial bumper bracket attachment holes.
4. Place a one hole spacer plate #2 between the hitch frame bracket and bumper bracket at the forward attachment point on each
frame. Push the bolt back through frame, bumper bracket, spacer and hitch frame bracket. Loosely secure with flange nuts removed
in Step 1.
5. Insert the longer 14mm bolts #3 through frame and bumper bracket at the rear two holes. Place the two hole spacer plate #4
between hitch frame bracket and bumper bracket at the rear bolt location. Secure with remaining nuts removed in Step 1.
6. Tighten all 14mm bolts to 75 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in fastener loss or failure.
