IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical
appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury:
1.
Read all instructions carefully before using the heater.
2.
The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
3.
Before plugging in, make sure that your electricity supply (current, voltage) is
the same as that shown on the heater. If this is not the case, contact your dealer
and DO NOT use the heater.
4.
Do not position the heater immediately below a socket.
5.
Do not let the cord hang over edge of the working surface or touch hot
surfaces.
6.
The heater becomes hot when it is in use. To avoid burns, do not touch the outer
surfaces. Always use the handles when moving the heater.
7.
Do not place combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper,
clothes and curtains directly in front of, behind or at the side of the heater. Always
maintain a safety distance of at least 3 feet (0.9m) between other objects and
the heater.
8.
Extreme caution is essential when children are near the heater or if the heater is
unattended.
9.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
heater.
10. Never leave the heater unattended. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
11. Never operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, if the heater has been
dropped or damaged in any way or if it is not working properly. Return the faulty
heater to your authorized Soba dealer for a check up or repair.
12. This heater is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
13. This heater must not be used in bathrooms, showers, swimming pools, laundry
areas or similar indoor facilities. NEVER place the heater near a bathtub or
anything else containing water.
14. The interior elements of the heater are hot. Sparks and arcing may occur.
Consequently, never use it where petrol, paint, or flammable liquids are used or
stored.
15. Never lay the cord under carpeting. It must always be exposed. Make sure it is
placed so no one can trip over it.
16. To switch off the heater, turn the temperature knob and the 4-P rotary knob to
"O" and disconnect the power cord from the mains socket. Never pull at or yank
the cord to disconnect it outlet.
17. Take care that no foreign objects can get into the heater or penetrate any
openings in the appliance as this could cause shock or fire or damage the
heater.
18. To protect against fire, ensure the air intake and exhaust are not blocked. Never
place the heater on soft surfaces (beds etc.) where the openings could become
blocked.
