Quartz Halogen Floodlight
The Heath/Zenith Quartz Halogen Floodlight disperses light over a wide area. It includes a 300 W
halogen lamp, attaches to a standard threaded junction box cover plate and is for use with 120 VAC.
FOR PROPER INSTALLATION AND OPERATION, PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
• Allow fixture to cool before touching. The bulb and the fixture operate at high temperatures.
• Keep fixture at least 1" (25 mm) from combustible materials. Do not aim at objects closer than 3 feet (1 m).
• Use a 300 watt lamp maximum.
Fixture Installation Instructions.
To avoid Electrical Shock:
• Turn off the circuit breaker or remove the fuse protecting the
lighting circuit.
• Follow all warnings listed on fixture.
• Grounding and installations must comply with local codes and
the national electrical codes.
• This product should be mounted on a grounded junction box
and must be used with a threaded cover plate.
• Permanently mount the fixture to a building or pole.
Thread aiming arm through the cover plate (not included) and
tighten the locknut.
Connect the lamp wires to the power source wiring. Secure
with wire connectors.

This is a "Limited Warranty" which gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.
For a period of five years from the date of purchase, any malfunction caused by factory defective parts or workmanship will be corrected at no charge to
you. Light bulbs are not covered. To obtain a refund or a replacement, return the product to the place of purchase.
Not Covered - Repair service, adjustment and calibration due to misuse, abuse or negligence, light bulbs and other expendable items are not covered by
this warranty. Unauthorized service or modification of the product or of any furnished component will void this warranty in its entirety. This warranty
does not include reimbursement for inconvenience, installation, setup time, loss of use, or unauthorized service.
This warranty covers only Heath Zenith assembled products and is not extended to other equipment and components that a customer uses in
conjunction with our products.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY,
REPRESENTATION OR CONDITION OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR THAT THE PRODUCTS ARE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR
USE, AND SPECIFICALLY IN LIEU OF ALL SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SHALL BE THE SOLE REMEDY OF THE CUSTOMER AND THERE SHALL BE NO LIABILITY ON THE PART
OF HEATH FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY
LOSS OF BUSINESS OR PROFITS, WHETHER OR NOT FORESEEABLE. Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

To Avoid Fire or Burn Hazards:

Model SL-5503
Attach the cover plate to the junction box. Keep the fixture
horizontal (within +/- 4º) so the bulb inside is horizontal. If
the bulb is not horizontal, the bulb may darken or shatter and
fail prematurely.
Loosen the side bolt connected to the arm to aim the fixture up
and down.
To avoid water entering fixture, do not aim the fixture above
the horizon.
For a rain tight seal, caulk the aiming arm joint with silicon
caulking compound.
Bulb installation and relamping.
Important: Use a clean glove or cloth when handling the new bulb.
Oil from your hand may cause the bulb to crack when the fixture
heats up and result in premature failure. Use isopropyl (rubbing)
alcohol to clean the bulb if it is touched with your bare hands.
When relamping, turn power off and let the fixture cool.
Remove glass cover and remove the old bulb by pushing the
bulb towards the right until the left side of the bulb is clear of
the left socket.
To insert the new bulb push the bulb into the right socket so
the bulb is properly seated in the sockets.
Re-install the glass cover.
Reconnect the power.
