OP ERAT ION
1 . Follow the instructions of the «Installation» chapter.
2 . Check that the emptying valve (20) is correctly closed.
3 . Check that the vacuum breaking valve is closed.
4 . Place the sample flask as shown on the «Installation» chapter.
5 . Adjust the position and the height of the flask by using the wing nuts
(39) and (40).
6 . Lower the flask with the lever (16). Be careful not to hit the glass if it is
not correctly adjusted.
7. Fill water enough to cover up to the middle of the sample flask.
8 . Set the temperature. See «SET OF THE TEMPERATURE» chapter.
9 . Turn the motor switch (34) on and adjust the speed with the knob
( 33) .
1 0 Start up the vacuum pump with the switch (30). You can see the
vacuum level on the vacuum gauge (19) which has a graduated scale
from 0 to -1 bar. The resolution of the vacuum gauge is 0.5 bar.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
To set the temperature of the water vessel, follow the next steps:
1 . Turn on the heater main switch (32).
2 . Press the «SET» key (38). The display will show «SP1» and the current
set temperature.
3 . Set a new temperature with the keys (37). Validate it by pressing the
«SET» key (38).

During the process of distillation, the display of the thermometer shows
the temperature of the distillation zone (29).
In case of probe cut or disconnec ted, the thermometer ( 29) and the
temperature regulator (28), show the signs «- - - -».
ADDING PRODUCTS DURING DISTILLATION
To work this way, it is necessary to connect the inlet liquids valve (8)
instead of the temperature probe before starting the working process.
8
Keep in mind that the valve must keep closed.
Connect one of the ends of a silicone pipe to the inlet and the other one
submerged in the liquid to be added.
During the process, with certain vacuum level and, preferable, with the
vacuum pump running, open the manual valve (8) to make that the pipe
sucks liquid into the system. Finally, close the valve.
USING A CIRCULATION PUMP TO THE COOLING GLASS
There is the possibility of using a circulation pump with the cooling glass. It
can be connected to the plug (25). On that plug, a solenoid valve can also
be connected to open and close the water from the tap. It allows saving
