CAUTION
The annular cutters are very sharp. It is
recommended that the operator wears protection when
handling it for installation or removal.
• Check that the cutter is sharp and does not have any
damage. CAUTION

• Turn the feed handle (A) to raise the drill to its highest
position.
• Insert a standard-length guide tip (B) (not included) on
the cutter (C), making sure that it is
slides through its hole easily.
• Loosen the two head screws (D) of the Weldon socket
without them protruding from the spindle.
• Align the two flat faces of the cutter shank (E) with the
socket attachment screws.
• Insert the tool shank into the socket and start tightening
one of the set screws, while at the same time turning the
cutter to one side and to the other. Continue until the
screw has settled on the flat face of the shank.
• Finish tightening the screw to prevent the cutter from
loosening.
• Tighten the other fastening screw.
• To remove a cutter, turn the feed handle to raise the drill
to its highest position, loosen both socket attachment
screws and remove carefully the cutter.

Safety belt

For work carried out in inclined and
CAUTION
vertical surfaces, the magnetic drill must be secured with
the supplied safety belt to the workpiece to prevent it
from falling in case the magnet is deactivated by an
interruption in the power supply.
WARNING Replace the safety belt if you have had
to hold a falling magnetic drill.
• Before using the safety belt, always check that it is not
damaged and that it functions correctly and in accordance
with specifications. If the belt is damaged or
already not working properly, replace it
immediately.
1. Pass the belt through the magnet slot.
2. Then wrap around the workpiece with the
belt.
3. Insert the free end of the belt from down
through the buckle opening, pull of the belt to
tighten it until it is well adjusted.
