A cabinet with a minimum inside width of 36" (91.4 cm) is
needed to accommodate this sink. A minimum 38" (96.5 cm) base
cabinet is recommended for installing as illustrated in this guide.
Due to the nature of undercounter installations, Kohler Co.
recommends that undercounter sink installations be performed by
trained and experienced installers.
Plan the sink installation so future removal from underneath the
countertop is possible without damaging the countertop.
Anchors should be preinstalled by the countertop manufacturer at
the time of cutting. Use the hardware provided by the countertop
manufacturer and the mounting clips provided with your sink.
The 1-3/8" (3.5 cm) mounting hole for the user interface must be
drilled by the countertop manufacturer.
This system requires the use of a cord and plug electrical
connection for the garbage disposal. Check your local codes for
acceptability.
Install a cold water supply line with a 3/4" supply stop. For
existing 1/2" supply installations, use a 3/4" male x 1/2" female
threaded reducing adapter for connecting to the sink supply hose.
A minimum 1/2" supply stop and 1/2" water supply lines are
required to ensure adequate water flow. A 40 psi (2.8 bars)
dynamic supply pressure at 5.28 gpm (20.0 lpm) is recommended
for optimum performance; install a water pressure booster if
needed.
IMPORTANT! Do not exceed 80 psi (5.5 bar) static water supply
pressure. If pressure exceeds this amount or adverse effects are seen
from excessive water pressure, install a pressure regulator in the
supply line.
A switched electrical outlet located beneath the sink with the
switch mounted within sight of the sink is recommended. This
will allow for both emergency shut-off of the system and for
disabling the system during long absences or servicing.
Follow the food waste disposal manufacturer recommendations
for your disposal usage and installation.
