NK706/FEC406, NK708/FP408, NK712/FP412 and NK716/FP416
allow for up to four modules to be installed.

For RB404 connection see figure
For SB404 connection see figure

(SB404)
ONFIGURATION
If the SB404 module is configured as a sounder output, the short-
circuit and open-circuit faults are indicated on the fire panel with
the indicators for the sounder outputs. These outputs function then
in the same way as the sounder outputs of the main board and will
follow the actions when the Sounder and Silence Sounder buttons
are pressed.
If the SB404 module is configured as supervised 24 VDC output,
then the short-circuit and open-circuit faults are indicated by the
general fault indicator and can be reset only with the Reset button.
DIP switch configuration
DIP switch 8 on the SB404 is used to set the function of the
supervised output module (see Figure 5):
DIP switch 8 ON

DIP switch 8 OFF

In the RB404 DIP switch 8 is not used and should remain in the
OFF position.

ONFIGURATION
DIP switches 1 to 7 are used to configure the master module
relays (DIP switch 8 is used only to set the function of the
supervised output module on the SB404 - see previous section).
Programming options are:
Assignment of one relay per zone (correlative).
Assignment of 2 or 4 relays per zone.
Assignment of a single relay depending on combined events
in different zones.
Assignment of relays based on general events
Assignment of relays based on extinguishing outputs
See Table 1 for DIP switch address settings.
Assignment of one relay per zone (correlative)
This may be achieved in two different ways:
Setting the module address as 00.
Setting the address 01 to module 1 (so zone 1 is linked to
relay 1, zone 2 to relay 2 etc.), the address 02 to module 2
(so zone 5 is linked to relay 5, zone 6 to relay 6 etc.), the
address 03 to module 3 and the address 04 to module 4
Assignment of 2 or 4 relays per zone
Use the following DIP switch addresses to assign relay behaviour.

Assignment of a single relay depending on combined events
in differing zones
The event of each zone can be combined through Boolean
operations AND / OR, e.g:
Event zone 1 OR Event zone 2
these two events is true.
Event zone 1 AND Event zone 2
when both of these two events are true.
