Grilling
Note: Marinated or high fat meat should not be grilled in the upper shelves. Strong
smoke may be produced.
NOTE: The heating can be switched off at any time by pressing and holding the
controller (2).
WARNING
Risk of burns! The handle (9) must never remain in the grill rack (1 1)
during operation.
Should an unexpected power failure occur during operation, avoid
touching the grill housing.
1. To place the food on the grill, remove the grill rack (1 1) using the handle (9).
2. Always position the food to be grilled as centred as possible on the grill rack (1 1).
The food to be grilled should never touch the grill rack holder (13) and the holder
for the handle (9). The grill rack (1 1) should not be overfilled, this could have a
negative effect on the grilling result.
3. Then select the optimum insertion height for the grill rack (1 1).
4. Turn the food over as soon as the desired browning is achieved.
NOTE: If necessary, use a grilling thermometer which can measure the core temperature
of the food to be grilled to reach the desired cooking point of the food. This can be
particularly helpful with meat and fish.
5. In order to reach the desired cooking point, allow the food to simmer at a lower
heat for some time after the actual grilling. To do this, use the handle (9) to remove
the grill rack (1 1) and place it on the grease drip tray (10) located on the floor of
the grilling chamber (12). During post-cooking, the heating must be switched off
by pressing and holding the controller (2). The post-cooking time depends on your
personal taste and the desired preparation (approx. 2 to 4 minutes).
6. Use suitable grill tongs to place the meat on the grill rack (1 1) or remove it. Before
eating, the meat should now rest outside the grill for approx. 2 to 4 minutes.
7.
Leave the grill rack (1 1) and the grease drip tray (10) in the grill while they are still
hot.
