INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this RUNPOTEC Capstan Winch CW 800 E. The-
se operating instructions provide information on safe use of the capstan
winch. Read the operating instructions carefully before starting up. If you
have any questions about the start-up, assembly, safety, use or malfunc-
tions, please call or e-mail your dealer or RUNPOTEC. You will find our con-
tact data on page 2.
SAFETY INFORMATION
The capstan winch may only be operated by persons who have been
trained in its use.
Always make sure that the capstan winch is in safe operating condition
before use.
The capstan winch must not be used if damage to the device is
determined.
The pulling rope and all parts connected to it, must meet the require-
ments stated in the Technical Specifications and must not exhibit
damage of any kind.
The operating staff must use personal protective equipment in line with
the construction site assessment.
Before starting work, remove any obstacles in the work area.
The capstan winch must be fastened such that either the ground or the
system can safety absorb the tensile forces.
The operator stands next to the winch, keeping a sufficient safety
distance and pulls the pulling rope, applying very little force, at a
90° angle to the pulling direction via the safety rope guide.
During pulling, do not reach into the capstan or the wound infeed and
output side rope section.
INTENDED USE
The RUNPOTEC capstan winch is designed ONLY for horizontal
cable pulling.
Transportation of persons is forbidden!
Any other than the described use represents unintended use.
The service life of 4 years can be exceeded many times over with
corresponding care.
Unintended use or modification of the machine invalidates the
statutory warranty liability of the machine manufacturer as well as
the product liability.
RUNPOTEC recommends the use of Ø 10 mm polyester for the
pulling rope as this has the ideal wrap factor.
