CLEANING METHODS

• Remove the internal tank and steamer basket, wash them with clean soapy water,
then dry with a soft cloth.
• Do not wash the internal tank with a metallic or tough brush, as this could
damage the inner coating.
• Grains of rice and other foreign material may stick to the hotplate. If this is the
case, wipe them off with a 320 grain abrasive cloth, and then clean with a soft dry
cloth to make sure there is good contact between the internal tank and hotplate.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
Insert the batteries before you use the appliance for the first time. When the
appliance is not plugged into the mains and the LCD screen is faint or off, change
the batteries. Use two 1.5V AAA batteries. Insert them as follows:
Unplug the appliance, remove the internal tank and disassemble the steam valve,

then turn the appliance upside-down and place it on a soft cloth on top of the work
surface.
Open the battery cover underneath the appliance.

Insert the new batteries, making sure to respect the polarity (+ and -),

Close the battery cover.

Caution: The batteries used in the appliance may contain chemicals that are harmful
for the environment. You must therefore remove all batteries before disposing of the
appliance, and dispose of them responsibly. Similarly, if the appliance is to be unused
for prolonged period of time, you must remove the batteries.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance and leave to cool before
cleaning.
The appliance must be cleaned with a household
cleaning product once cooking has finished.
If not, it could cause an unpleasant odour.

Areas where water can collect
Water may occasionally collect here, and it must be
wiped up.
Hotplate
Temperature sensor
If rice is stuck to the internal parts, it could affect
the rice cooking programme. Wipe the part with
a 320 grain abrasive cloth, and then with a soft dry cloth.
