HOW TO CLEAN YOUR PILLAR
Regular cleaning is important for preventing
mold, mildew, and other bacterial growth in your
humidifier. It also keeps your PILLAR working its
best
NOTE: Do not allow any liquid to get into the air intake while you
are cleaning your PILLAR.
1. Let the unit run until it's empty, then turn it off and unplug it.
2. Remove the tank and pour out any remaining water from
the tank and base.
3. Remove the demineralization cartridge from the bottom of
the tank. Throw your cartridge away if it is time to replace it.
Otherwise, rinse it well with running water and put it in a sink
while you finish cleaning your PILLAR.
4. Fill the water tank half-full with warm water and 2 ½ cups of
white vinegar. Use a cup to scoop out a little of this mixture
and pour it into the base. Swish the remaining water-vinegar
mixture around the tank. Let this sit for 20 minutes.
5. With the mixture in the base, use a soft cloth to clean the
inside of the base. Gently scrub the oscillator (the dark ring
in the basin). Let it sit for 20 minutes.
6. After 20 minutes, empty the water tank and base.
7. Dampen a sponge with white vinegar and wipe down the
base, tank, and lid. Rinse everything thoroughly.
8. Wipe everything dry and replace the demineralization
cartridge, if needed. Then reassemble.
When storing your PILLAR, discard the used demineralization
cartridge and clean the unit as described above. Dry the unit
thoroughly, and store in a temperature-regulated area. Do not
install a new demineralization cartridge until you are ready to use
your humidifier again.
