Note
Ensure that you hold only the handle;
never come in contact with the crocodile

Voltage test
Connect the crocodile clip [5] to ground (bare

metal of the car).
Touch a fuse or the positive terminal of the battery

with the test probe [2].
3 The LED (+) illuminates if connected to a live wire.
Battery test
Connect the crocodile clip [5] to the negative

terminal of the battery.
Touch the positive terminal with the test probe of

Testing the brake / rear light
Connect the crocodile clip [5] to ground (bare

Touch the bulb socket with the test probe [2] to

test it.
Testing the line
Connect the crocodile clip [5] to ground.

Slide the piercing unit [3] back using the slider
■
[4], which is attached to the side, fasten the
line and pierce it with the piercing contact point.

Polarity test
Connect the line to be tested to the crocodile
■
clip [5].
Touch the positive terminal of the battery with the
■
test probe [2].
3 If the wire is connected to ground, the LED (+)
illuminates.
3 If the wire is supplied with battery voltage, the
LED does not illuminate.
Repeat this test and touch the negative terminal
■
of the battery with the test probe [2].
3 If the wire is live, the LED (-) illuminates.
3 If the wire is connected to ground, the LED does
not illuminate.
Important!
Do not apply a voltage that exceeds
60 V DC to the test probes [2]. If you
exceed this limit, the device can be
damaged and the operator placed at
risk.

The device must not be used for
measurements of the mains supply. The
device must not be used for measure-
ments of voltages exceeding the values
stated in these operating instructions.
Warning!
The device must not be used for meas-
urements of other categories such as
CAT II, CAT III or CAT IV.
Maintenance / Care
If the device has become dirty due to daily use,

the device can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents

for cleaning.
