During use, always keep the drinker filled, this way, when the vehicle
is stopped and the water is already cold, the compressor will run less
time and the battery consumption will be lower.
Avoid leaving the lid open.
8.2 Defrosting and cleaning
In case of freezing, turn off the water cooler, open the drain and wait for all
the ice to melt. Do not use sharp or cutting objects to scrape the ice.
To clean the internal reservoir and the external case, use mild soap and
water. Do not use chemical detergents (alcohol, solvents, etc.), abrasive
products or hard sponges. Unrecommended procedures may stain and
damage the surfaces and lining of the drinking fountain.
8.3 Preventive maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance as follows:
Clean the condenser to allow good air flow.
Check the door or cover sealing gasket.
Check closing of doors and covers.
20 BATTERY PROTECTION
To protect the vehicle's battery, the water cooler is equipped with a battery
charge controller module, which will turn off the water cooler when the power
is at 10.4 VDC for drinking fountains at 12 VDC and at 22.8 VDC for drinking
fountains at 24 VDC. When the alternator is switched on again, the water
cooler will start automatically when the voltage reaches 11.7 VDC and 24.2
VDC respectively.
