2. Run main feed into the panel (Figure 2).
WARNING: Electric Shock hazard. May Result in
Serious Injury or Death. To avoid the risk of electric shock,
locate and lock supply breaker in the OFF position before
wiring to power terminal blocks.
Wire strip length should be 9/16 in (13 mm). The main lug will accept

should be fed with a minimum 60 A 3-phase feed. All module and
control feed wiring is pre-wired.
3. Install load wiring (Figure 3). Each module controls up to 4 loads.
Label each wire clearly as you wire to the terminal blocks.
NOTE: To install the HW-RPM-4R in 8 module panels, the factory
installed terminal blocks must be replaced with the terminal blocks
supplied with each HW-RPM-4R. Additionally, the factory wiring must
be field modified for each HW-RPM-4R as shown in Figure 3b using
suitable copper 12 AWG (4 mm
NOTE: Wiring for HW-RPM-4M modules will differ. For wiring, refer
to the installation instructions provided with the module. Cap the load
wiring with a wire connector rather than terminating it to the terminal
block. Replacement terminal blocks are provided with these modules.
4. Install module interface feed (Figure 4). Connect the module
interface using the feed plug. This feed will draw a maximum of 2 A.
Lutron recommends that a dedicated feed be used for this purpose.
Leave this circuit breaker off until the module interface is installed.
5. Test all load wiring. Turn on input power to the module locations.
Check all connected lighting to ensure it is on. If a breaker trips, a
wiring error or excessive load exists and must be resolved.
NOTE: The pre-installed bypass jumpers will distribute power to each
load and MUST NOT be removed until after all circuit wiring has been
fully tested and all modules are installed.
6. Install MI mounting screws (Figure 2). If panel is recess (flush)
mounted, install MI mounting screws (provided).
7. Complete panel cover label. Record load names for each zone on
the panel cover label.
8. Install cover. En sure that the cover vents are over the module area.
Tighten cover screws. If a module interface has not been installed,
leave these installation instructions in the panel.
