Top covering thread
1. Adjusting the engagement of knives
1) Adjust so that the engagement of fixed knife 1
wth movng knfe 2 s 0.5 mm.
2) When adjustng the engagement, loosen set-
screws 4 and move knfe holder 5 up or down
to adjust.

2. Adjusting the pressure of clamp spring
1) Top coverng thread s held wth clamp sprng 3
after thread trmmng.

2) Holdng pressure can be adjusted by loosenng
nut 6 and turnng screw 7 .

3) Holdng pressure s ncreased when tghtenng
screw 7 and t s decreased when loosenng
screw 7 .
4) After the adjustment, tghten nut 6 .

5) Make the holdng pressure as low as possble
wthn the range of holdng the top coverng
thread.
3. Adjusting the position of the blade
point of moving knife
1) Brng the needle bar to ts hghest poston.
2) When hnge screw 8 s lowered, movng knfe 2
lowers together.
3) Adjust the movng knfe to the poston where the
hook secton of movng knfe 2 enters the con-
cave of the bottom surface of spreader 9 and
catches the top coverng thread n the state that
movng knfe 2 s fully lowered. After the adjust-
ment, tghten screws !0 !1 and !2 .
4) Screws !2 are for adjustng vertcal poston of
the knfe, screws !0 for adjustng lateral poston
of the knfe, and screws !1 for adjustng angle of
the knfe.

Make sure that the moving knife does not
interfere with other components such as
presser, needle, spreader, etc. within the
working range of moving knife 2 .
