the battery out and remove it.

Charging your phone

Slide open the cover of the phone's
Accessory/Charger Port on the top edge of
your phone. Insert the charger, then plug it
into an electrical outlet.
NOTICE Please only use an approved charging accessory
to charge your LG phone. Improper handling of
the Accessory/Charger Port, as well as the use
of an incompatible charger, may cause damage
to your phone and void the warranty.

Optimizing Battery Life

You can extend your battery's life between charges by turning off features
that run in the background. You can also monitor how applications and
system resources consume battery power.
From the Home screen, touch the Applications Key
> Applications > Running services. Touch the application you want
to stop running and touch Stop. Then touch OK to confirm.
Tips to extend the life of your battery
Turn off radio communications that you aren't using. If you aren't using
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS, use the Settings menu to turn them off
(Note that the GPS receiver is only turned on when you're using an
application that makes use of it).
