2. Intended use
The special light from the UVA tubes attracts insects such as mosquitos
or gnats, which are then killed quickly and painlessly by the integrated
high voltage grid. The dead insects fall into the collection tray on the
base of the device. The collection tray can be easily removed, emptied
and cleaned.

5. Notes on operation
Mosquitoes are nocturnal insects, they come out at dusk and are at-
tracted by light. In addition to light, mosquitoes are attracted to human
body odours. You should therefore try to catch the mosquitoes before
using the desired areas. For this purpose, you should keep a few points
in mind with regard to the placement of the device. Hang the device
in the darkest place possible, and at a height of 1.5 – 3 meters. Close
windows and doors and make sure that the device is not put up in a
draughty area.
Use the device at dusk about 1 – 1.5 hours before utilising the area. The
mosquitoes will then find their way towards the light and high-voltage
grid without being distracted by smells of humans or food. Once you
use the area yourself, you can place the lamp outside the room, so the
mosquito is attracted before „entering" the area.
6. Putting into operation
Hang the unit on the designated facility or place it in a secure place. Plug
the power cord into the power outlet, the device is now ready for use.
Attention: Only hang the device using the suspension chain
and not the power cord!
7. Safety instructions
• F or safety and certification reasons (CE) the unauthorised conversion
and/or modification of the product is not permitted. This will void the
warranty/guarantee.
• E nsure that you perform a proper start-up of the device. Please ob-
serve these operating instructions.
• R epairs or other works, e.g. changing a UV tube etc. may only be car-
ried out by a specialist.
• O nly operate the unit with the designated voltage.
• I f the unit, the AC adapter or its connecting cable is damaged, do not
touch it. First, turn off the corresponding mains socket (e. g. via the
respective circuit breaker) and remove the power plug from the power
outlet. Do not continue to operate the product, but take it to a specia-
list workshop.
• Never use the device for other purposes.
• D o not use the device in places with flammable materials or explosive
gases and dust such as barns or stables The device is also not suitable
for use for commercial purposes.
• O nly use the device indoors! In outdoor areas, insects falling under
nature and species protection can be killed by the device.
• T he product must not get damp or wet. To avoid the risk of fire or
electric shock, we ask you ensure that the device and its power sup-
ply do not come into contact with dripping or splashing water, rain or
moisture.
• D o not put any objects filled with liquid, such as buckets, vases or
plants, in the immediate vicinity of the product or the power supply.
Liquid could enter into the housing interior. This could not only cause
damage to the device, but could also result in a fire hazard.
