■ FM
Problem
FM stereo reception is noisy.
There is distortion, and clear
reception cannot be obtained
even with a good FM antenna.
The desired station cannot be
tuned into with the automatic
tuning method.
Previously preset stations can
no longer be tuned into.
■ iPod
Note
If a transmission error occurs but no status message is displayed on the front panel display of the receiver, check the connection between
the receiver and your iPod (☞p.10).
Status message
CONNECT ERR
There is a problem with the signal path
from your iPod to the receiver.
UNKNOWN TYP
The iPod being used is not supported by
the receiver.
CONNECTED
Your iPod is properly stationed in the
iPod dock, and the connection between
your iPod and the receiver is complete.
NOT CONNECT
Your iPod was removed from the iPod
dock of the receiver.
CAN'T PLAY
The receiver cannot play back the songs
currently stored on your iPod.
Cause
The characteristics of FM stereo
broadcasts may cause this problem
when the transmitter is too far away or
the antenna input is poor.
There is multi-path interference.
The signal is too weak.
The receiver has been disconnected for
a long period.
Cause
Remedy
Check the antenna connections.
Try using a high-quality directional FM
antenna.
Adjust the antenna position to eliminate
multi-path interference.
Use a high-quality directional FM antenna.
Use the manual tuning method.
Set preset stations.
Remedy
Turn off the receiver and try resetting your iPod.
Only iPod (Click and Wheel), iPod nano, iPod
Classic, iPod mini and iPod touch are supported.
Station your iPod back to the iPod dock of the
receiver.
Check that the songs currently stored on your iPod
are playable.
Store some other playable music files on your iPod.
