Mounting Your Universal Flip-up Loupe
Although your Universal Flip-up Loupe comes mounted on safety glasses, it is compatible with most eyewear
frames, including leaded glasses and ophthalmic glasses. The Universal Flip-up Loupe is secured to a frame by
tightening the mounting screw, which clamps the frame between the mounting clip and mounting arms of the
device. The mounting screw also secures the vertical slide; while the mounting screw is loosened, the vertical
slide will move up and down freely.
! DO NOT attempt to remove your Universal Flip-up Loupe without first loosening the mounting
screw, or damage may result.
When mounting the Universal Flip-up Loupe to a frame
1. Use an optical screwdriver to loosen the mounting screw and open the mounting arms.
2. Push the device over the top of your frame with mounting clip in front of the carrier lens and
mounting arms behind the carrier lens.
3. Center the device over the bridge of your loupe frame and tighten the mounting screw until the
device is secure. You may need to readjust the vertical slide before tightening the mounting screw.
When removing the Universal Flip-up Loupe
1. Use an optical screwdriver to loosen the mounting screw and open the mounting arms.
2. Pull the device straight up off your frame.

Univeral Flip-up Loupe
Flip Grip
The flip grip allows you to tilt the your telescopes up or down without contaminating the hinge or
telescopes. The flip grip is removable so it can be cleaned or replaced.
• To remove the flip grip, hold onto the flip-up hinge with one hand while pulling the flip grip straight
off with the other hand.
• When pushing the flip grip onto the hinge, you will hear an audible click when the flip grip is
secured.
