Adjustable Arm with Slipfitter (Figure 2.)
1. Loosen (3) hex head screws located on arm mounted
on back of the luminaire and carefully set aside the
cover plate and the screws.
2. Align slipfitter casting to the fixture side arm and adjust
the angle of assembly as needed.
N ote: Do not tilt the luminaire more than 60 degree above
horizontal.
3. Route wires from luminaire through the slot of
luminaire side arm into one of the holes of slip fitter.
Choose the best hole in slip fitter that lines up with the
slot in luminaire side arm depending on the tilt of the
fixture.
N ote: Ensure the luminaire supply leads do not get pinched
between the arm and slipfitter.
4. Slide lock washer and flat washer onto (1) 1/2-13 grade
8 bolt.
5. Install the bolt through the hole of slip fitter and tighten
into the housing side arm. Tighten to 40 ft-lbs.
6. For horizontal tenon mounting, a 3/8" diameter thru bolt
is required to be installed in .400" hole provided on the
slipfitter. The .400" hole is located 2" from bottom of
slipfitter to center of hole. (Figure 2b.)
7 . The slip fitter can be mounted on 2-3/8" to 3" O.D.
tenon pipe.
8. Feed power source leads from tenon and feed supply
wires from luminaire through the slipfitter. Use care
to prevent damaging these leads between tenon and
slipfitter. Make splice connections per below step.
9. Connect the supply wires to appropriate luminaire
leads:
Supply side ground wire to green luminaire lead.
•
Supply side neutral wire to white luminaire lead.
•
Supply side line voltage wire to black luminaire lead.
•
10. Once connections are completely made, push all wires
down into the tenon.
11. Install the slipfitter onto the tenon carefully and tighten
(4) slipfitter square head set screws temporarily.
12. Dress the wires in slipfitter using the wire tie provided
as needed.
13. Use (3) hex head screws to place cover on the slip
fitter.
14. Reinstall the cover plate on the housing side arm with
(3) hex head screw.

Failure to install this plate could cause damage to the
arm.
15. Adjust the aim of fixture on top of tenon as needed and
tighten all set screws to 160 in-lbs., and jam nuts to
200 in lbs.
