Equipping the welding torch

In place of an electrode holder (4), you can use a gas diffuser, which, based on its design,
generates a laminar gas flow.
You must perform steps 1 and 2 only if you use the torch with the TES torch exchange station.
NOTICE
• Ensure that wear parts specific to the welding torch are correctly assigned.
1 Push the sensor ring (6) with the flat side up from the front as far as it will go (8) over the
torch body (9) (optional).
2 Tighten the cylinder head screws M3 × 10 (10) and fix the sensor ring (6) on the
torch body (9) (optional).
3 Push the insulator (5) from the front onto the torch body (9).
4 Insert the electrode holder (4) from the front into the torch body (9).
5 Insert the tungsten electrode (3) from the front into the electrode holder (4).
6 Hold the tungsten electrode (3) and the electrode holder (4) and tighten the clamping
element (7) with the torque wrench.

7 Screw the gas nozzle (1) onto the torch body (9).

Maintenance and cleaning
Scheduled maintenance and cleaning are prerequisites for a long service life and trouble-free
operation.
NOTICE
• Clean the welding torch during each welding break if there is heavy weld spatter.
1 Clean the joints.
2 Lubricate the O-rings lightly with a silicone-free grease.
3 Check the wear parts for visible damage and replace them, if necessary.
