VII. Troubleshooting
Q: The sound levels seem to be a bit low, what can I do?
A: Some meeting rooms with high reverberation, for example a
room will all glass walls, without ceiling and carpet is prone to
generate a lot of echo. This is not the best environment for voice
conferencing.
If you cannot avoid such environments, always speak directly to the
device, without any object in between, like a monitor screen or the
screen to your notebook.
Make sure the speaker volume is set to highest as shown.
Q: My headset does not work with the speakerphone
A: Please note that Apple-compatible headsets (headphone with
mic) with the "Made-for-iPhone" digital controller will not work
with the device. Try any Android-compatible headset or any
standard headset with an analog volume control, or headsets
without any volume control.
Q: I cannot control Windows' system volume, no matter how many
times I press the volume buttons
A: Due to restrictions by Microsoft on same versions of their
software, the speaker cannot directly control the system volume in
Windows operation systems.
Q: My client says my voice is not constant, sometimes loud,
sometimes soft
A: The speakerphone uses a complex echo-reduction algorithm
within its hardware.
This keeps track of the performance of microphone and speaker in
real-time, while automatically adjusting the volume for optimal
performance. However, Windows also includes a software AGC
under Microphone Properties (Control Panel).
Please make sure you uncheck the AGC function. For support on
how to do this, please contact your IT-support or system
integrators.
